Something’s bubbling away here in Tanunda

It’s not the hot chocolate… a new Chief Decadence Officer (CDO) is in the house and Benni’s Café is being Bennified!

We’re delighted to announce that, after and extensive search we have appointed a new CDO, who has been busy sprinkling some magic across the café. There’s a definite buzz in the kitchen, a sparkle in the air, and the sound of a little magic happening!

The full Bennification is due for completion by 1 September 2025, so start planning your visit this Spring.

It is business as usual, but mark your calendars for September 1, 2025 when Benni's of Barossa comes alive with a new look cafe and.

Plan your visit for Father’s Day, the school holidays, one of outdoor cinema nights, or our new spook-tacular Halloween movie night.

Life here in Taunda is about to get a whole lot sweeter!

Follow along as we reveal the new CDO’s vision for the new Benni’s of Barossa. All we can say is stay tuned for a fresh new vibe, a menu makeover, and more joy than you can fit in a jar of chocolate freckles.

We told you that life here in Tanunda is about to get a whole lot sweeter!

It’s time to reveal the new Chief Decadence Officer’s vision for Benni’s of Barossa — a fresh new vibe, a menu makeover, and more joy than you can fit in a jar of chocolate freckles.

Our new vibe is all about creating spaces where you can relax and spend time with the people you love most — sharing memories on the lawns, playing games, watching outdoor movies, or joining in a creative activity.

And of course, no visit to Benni’s should be complete without something delicious. Benni has swooped in to Bennify the menu and make sure everything is topped with an extra sprinkle of magic. ✨

Benni's mission was to create a menu that is a love letter to life’s little indulgences, so the new menu will be filled with:
• Rich, handcrafted hot chocolates & barista-made coffee
• More decadent desserts made with our signature couverture chocolate
• Buttery savoury pastries fresh from the oven and delicious savoury flatbreads
• Crisp, fluffy waffles piled high with our house-made gelati

And that’s just the beginning — our CDO, Benni, will be officially introducing himself this very soon for now he is delighted to share below all the plans in store for Father's Day and the upcoming school holidays.

The Wait is Over: Meet Your Chief Decadence Officer

G’day friends, it’s me — Benni 🐨💖

For a while now you’ve been hearing whispers, seeing hints, and feeling the buzz around Tanunda. Well, it’s finally time to spill the sprinkles…

I’m officially your new Chief Decadence Officer (CDO) at Benni’s of Barossa!

You might know me from the treetops along Burings Road, where I was the unofficial “Director of First Impressions.” From up there, I watched you come and go, listened to what you loved, and dreamed of ways to make life a little sweeter — and a whole lot more fun.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been paws-deep in the action with my team. We’ve been painting, cooking in the test kitchen, and even letting a few locals sneak a taste of the new menu. Let’s just say the reviews were choc-full of excitement.

Here’s the plan:
👉 It’s business as usual until 5 pm this Sunday, with our Winter Dining Domes wrapping up the season.
👉 Then the magic begins… doors re-open 12 noon, Monday September 1st with my brand-new menu and a whole new fun vibe.

I can’t wait to welcome you back inside. So bring your friends, bring your family, and most importantly — bring your sweet tooth. Because life’s too short for ordinary… it’s time to Bennify it.
