School Holiday Fun!

Each school holidays we host a number of Chocolate Workshops for children and events for families. These are typically in line with the South Australian School Holidays.

Kids Choclate Workshops:

Kids Outdoor Code Cracker Activity (Free). available all year round between 10 am - 5 pm

The Freckle Files: The Mysterious Case of the Missing Chocolates! Indoor Activity. $10 pp available all year round between 10 am - 4.30 pm

    • DIY Rocky Road

      This fun DIY experience allows you to create your own 250g block of Rocky Road just to your liking. First you will taste our couverture milk and dark chocolate so you can select your base chocolate. Next select up to five inclusions to work your magic.

      Then get to work creating the perfect slab of Rocky Road to take home and enjoy.

      An example of inclusions available includes: Fruit & Nut Mix, Raspberry Lollies, Strawberry Licorice, M&Ms, Mini Marshmallows, Honeycomb, Peanut Brittle, Waffle Cone, Pretzels, Oreo Crumb and Coconut. NB: These may change subject to availability.

      Perfect for the kids and adults. Our Chocolatiers have matched our White, Ruby and Milk chocolates with three house-made Sorbet and Gelati.


      This is the perfect experience for the kids if the adults want to experience one of the grown-up pairings! You can all be seated together and enjoy the moment!


      Please allow 20-30 minutes. Pairing available on the hour, each hour until 4 pm.

      The Barossa Valley Chocolate Company offers a free Kids Code Cracker Activity, allowing children to find clues and crack the code around the property.

      • What: A free, interactive activity where children can search for clues and solve a code puzzle.
      • Where: Around the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company property.
      • When: Available whenever the facility is open.
      • How to access: Simply visit the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company and ask for the code cracker activity.

      Calling all junior detectives! There’s been a chocolate heist, and we need your help to solve it. Join Stefan, Gracie and
      everyone’s favourite Koala concierge, Benni, to follow the clues, decode the
      secrets and catch the chocolate thief!

      This fun indoor adventure is perfect for curious kids with a taste for mystery (and chocolate, of course!). Work through your Top Secret Case File, uncover hidden hints throughout the Chocolate Company, and put your best detective skills to the test.

      Ready to crack the case? Pop on your detective hat and get ready to sniff out the truth. Grab your case file and help us crack the case — who’s been sneaking our chocolate?

      Cost: $10 per detective — includes the Case File and Vanilla Spy Cream Scoop with a Freckle on Top.
